Frequently Asked Questions
What is Kinesiology?
Kinesiology is a gentle, holistic therapy that uses muscle monitoring to identify areas of stress or imbalance in the body's nervous system. It is a mind-body approach that works with the connection between your muscles, nervous system, and subconscious. As a Kinesiologist based in Spotswood, I use this approach alongside Mind Body Medicine and Reiki energy healing to help release tension held in the body, calm the nervous system, and support the body's natural ability to heal.
What happens during my first appointment?
Your first appointment is a chance for us to get to know each other and understand what has brought you here. While seated we'll explore your health history and current concerns, then you will lay down on the massage table fully clothed, as we continue to work together to uncover what may be contributing to your symptoms.
Each session is tailored to your individual needs and may include kinesiology, somatic therapy, mind body medicine, gentle bodywork, nervous system regulation techniques, functional neurology principles, and energy healing. My approach is always gentle, collaborative and guided by what feels right for you.

How many sessions will I need?
Every person is different, so there isn't a one size fits all answer.
Some people notice positive changes after just one session, while others benefit from ongoing support, particularly if they've been living with chronic stress or long term health concerns.
After your first appointment, we'll discuss what I feel would best support your goals, and you can decide what feels right for you. There is never any pressure to commit to a set number of sessions.
What makes your approach different?
My sessions are unique. I combine kinesiology, mind body medicine, somatic therapy, reiki energy healing and functional neurology principles. By focusing on nervous system regulation and gentle body based techniques I support your health from multiple angles. Rather than treating symptoms in isolation, I look at the relationship between your brain, body and emotions to understand what may be contributing to your experience. Every session is tailored to your individual needs, with the intention of helping you feel calmer, more connected and more like yourself again.
Will I need to talk about everything?
Not unless you want to. While conversation is often part of a session, you don't need to relive difficult experiences or have all the answers. Much of our work involves listening to what your body is communicating and supporting your nervous system in a gentle and respectful way.
Do you work with children?
Yes. I support children of all ages with emotional wellbeing, anxiety, behavioural challenges, nervous system regulation and primitive reflex integration. Sessions are always adapted to your child's age, personality and individual needs, creating a calm and supportive environment where they feel safe.
Can I use kinesiology alongside other healthcare?
Yes. Many clients see me alongside their GP, psychologist, chiropractor, physiotherapist, osteopath, naturopath, acupuncturist or other healthcare practitioners. My sessions are designed to complement your existing healthcare and provide additional support for your overall wellbeing.
Can I book if I'm not sure whether this is right for me?
Absolutely. Choosing a practitioner is a personal decision, and it's important that you feel comfortable. If you're unsure whether my approach is the right fit, you're welcome to get in touch before booking. I'd be happy to answer your questions and help you decide whether I can support you.
If you have any other questions please reach out to me and I would be happy to answer any of your questions.
